A few tips on packing your equipment for travel:
Kite bags have become smaller and smaller over the years, but a good bag that holds all of your gear is worth its weight in gold – and one with wheels is even better.
Folding your kite properly is a skill worth learning. It saves time on the beach after a session and lets you pack more efficiently, which greatly reduces wear and tear. The technique varies slightly depending on whether your kite has a one-pump system or separate valves, but the general approach is the same.
Deflate the kite completely, including the struts, and roll it tightly from both sides. Keep the leading edge straight as you roll to prevent the bladders from twisting. On newer kites, always open the main valve so that all the air can escape.
Always remove the fins, as they can easily snap if your luggage is handled roughly, and take off the footstraps and handle.
The weakest part of a kite pump is the hose, so remove it and pack it separately where it will not be squashed.
Keep the small parts together: put screws, fins and a screwdriver in a little bag so that nothing goes missing.
Pack in the right order. Put the board in first to stabilise the bag, then the folded kites, and fit the fins, footstraps and other bits in between.

Beach use and storage include the daily beach fee, compressor, beach assistance, overnight storage, free Wi-Fi, tea, fresh water, showers and toilets. Prices are per person and cover 1 kiteboard, 1 surfboard or hydrofoil and 3 kites.
